     First Brotherhood Won a Scholarship !
Congratulations to Senior Brotherhood leader Marchon Williams on his acceptance to Howard University in Washington D.C.! Marchon also won a $1,000 scholarship from the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity entitled the IDeal Education Martin Luther King Jr. Scholars. This scholarship recognizes young African-American men in Chicago who have a 2.8 or... ...higher GPA, who are involved in various extra-curricular and leadership opportunities, and participate in community service activities. Congratulations to Marchon, who competed against other young men from around the city, but with his strong essay and exceptionally high GPA and letters of recommendation, he was able to be recognized as one of the IDeal Education Martin Luther King Jr. Scholars. The awards ceremony takes place on Saturday, January 16, 2010. |
