Audience Packs Auditorium for Student Performance
Students performed for a full house at the first annual Phoenix Military Academy Fine Arts Showcase on December 15th at 7 p.m. The event featured art displays from Mr. Saenz' AP art class, a play in 3 acts by the drama club, a dance by the Spanish club, and a variety of musical performances. Two "guitar orchestras" performed 6 pieces,...
...including holiday music, 2 classical pieces, a spiritual and a pop song. Several students were featured in solos or duets. Cadet Shekia Hassell sang “Silent Night”. Cadets David Woulard and Jeffrey Perez played a Bolivian folk song, then Woulard played a song by the Goo Goo Dolls. The final number featured Joshua Cook on bass guitar, Edwardo Zamora on tenor sax, Major Seymour on the electric guitar, and Francisco Peralta/ Rocio Bernal as Master Ceremony. We are looking forward to the spring concert in May 2010 !
